The Romantischer Weihnachtsmarkt (Romantic Christmas Market) in Regensburg, Germany

The Romantischer Weihnachtsmarkt (Romantic Christmas Market) in Regensburg, Germany

Wanting to explore Christmas markets outside of our hometown & very popular Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt, we drove 1 hour to Regensburg and their Romantischer Weihnachtsmarkt. The pine-roofed stalls with homemade gifts were wrapped around the palace as well as inside the courtyard. With all of the quaint Christmas charm & open fires to stay warm, this became our favorite Christmas market.

The Pares Family European Tour

The Pares Family European Tour

In October my amazing family (minus Jeffrey, Kristen, Ryan and Talia) came to visit us in Europe. As they've only visited Italy in the past, they decided to do an extensive European tour (in just two weeks!). My parents started in London, then onto Amsterdam, Brussels, Brugges, and then ended their guided tour in Paris where the rest of us "kids" came to join.

SPAIN | Mallorca: Ca's Patro March, the restaurant on the sea

Ca's Patro March. Heaven. This restaurant was so unbelievable that it deserves its own blog post. This view.. with the sounds of the waves against the rocks all while eating the freshest seafood... we could have eaten here every day and I would have been perfectly happy.

SPAIN | Mallorca: Exploring the Island

SPAIN | Mallorca: Exploring the Island

We arrived in Mallorca on a late Monday night after spending the weekend in Barcelona. Prior to the trip I did some researching to get an idea of how we should spend our days.  The island is quite big, on the west coast you will find the Tramuntana Mountain Ridge along the water and on the right side more calm beaches and coves.

SPAIN | Barcelona Day 3

SPAIN | Barcelona Day 3

On the list for our last day in Barcelona we did our own food tour at Mercado de La Boqueria, and then we visited La Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo. Knowing how much eating we would be doing at the food market, we started the day at Reebok Crossfit Barcelona.

London Calling

London Calling

Andrew and I traveled to London for a little weekend getaway about a month ago.  I had to go to London for a meeting for one day, so luckily were able to make a long weekend out of it!  We have both been to London separately for work trips, but this was our first time visiting the city together... which of course makes it soo much different :)

I will admit... this blog post will look like all we did in London was eat and drink, and that is partially true. But like I've said before... I find the best way to get to know a new city, it to experience all of the local flavors... and we took that very seriously!
